Who is James Marsters?

James Marsters is an American actor and musician best known for his role as the sexy vampire Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This talented actor has worked on a variety of different projects from Shakespeare to Superman, he has been in several TV shows such as Torchwood, Numb3rs and Smallville, he is the voice behind the Dresden Files audio books and he has also managed to be the lead singer in the band Ghost of the Robot and go on to record two solo albums.

James Marsters on Buffy The Vampire Slayer

When first asked to play the character of Spike (aka William the Bloody Slayer of Slayers) James wasn't impressed but after watching it on the TV he simply couldn't wait to join the cast. Originally Spike was only supposed to be in the series for a few episodes but he was so popular they just kept bringing him back until he became a permanent member of the cast by the fourth series.

James Marsters on Angel Season 5

The character of Spike became a permanent cast member on Angel in season 5. In the last season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer the character of Spike was dramatically killed when he closed the Hellmouth but he was mysteriously resurrected and became a vital member of the Angel team at Wolfram & Hart.

Dragonball Evolution - James Marsters is Lord Piccolo

The story begins with Goku, who seeks out upon his adoptive grandfather Grandpa Gohan's dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls. Of which he has one, in order to prevent the evil Lord Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world. And Goku's quest is to obtain the mystical Dragonballs before Piccolo does.

James Marsters Musical Career

As well as an actor James is also a talented singer, songwriter and musician. He was originally lead singer in the band Ghost of the Robot but after the band split he went on to record two solo albums "Civilized Man" and "Like a Waterfall".

His earlier albums with Ghost of the Robot and his first solo album are now very difficult to get hold of but his latest album "like a waterfall" is sometimes available on Amazon or Ebay.
